That photo that you can see above is one of the favorite Pinoy Street Food. This is locally called as "balot". It may seem an ordinary egg for those who doesn't really know it. It may look so disgusting to those people who is new to this kind of food. It can be considered as an exotic food anyways. This one is the best "pulutan" for me. It will make my mouth watering and me craving for it even if I will just hear a vendor shouting its merchandise. It is great to be combined in hot vinegar and salt. Sometimes I would spend a hundred bucks just to spoil myself in eating this street food. In a single eating, I can finish about 5-10 eggs for me alone. Lots of Filipinos love this kind of food. Even a socialite would eat this but there are also some Filipinos who doesn't really like to eat this. Maybe because of its content. The "Baby Chick". Yes, it has a baby chick inside. Specially those eggs that are 18 days old. Some of my cousins will just eat the yellow part then give me the baby chick. I don't know if it is also available in other countries but here in the Philippines, it is really available anywhere in the country. If I would visit a place, I would immediately find for a balot vendor just to quench my thirst of its soup. Haven't mentioned it that this egg has a soup inside. Come to Philippines and let's see what you got in eating balot!
