Truly touch screen technology for mobile phones have been arising from nowhere like mushrooms you see on the side of the streets. People tend to use Treo or Blackberry or iPhone or O2 or any other touch screen phones. Before, Nokia was not really included on the list because they haven't really developed touch screen phones (based on my knowledge :D) until recently, they have launched the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This phone is loaded of 81MB Internal Memory and an 8GB microSD included on the kit. Features like Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, SMS, MMS, Email, IM, Java MIDP 2.0, Symbian, Photo Editor, Camera, TV Out, GPS REceiver, Maps, T9, Document Viewer, Voice Command, Mp3 Player, Video Player, HTML Browser etc. I don't know if its the first Nokia Phone that carries Symbian OS9.4 (a big WOW). It has Accelerometer also which is a very innovative technology in some mobile phones this days. It can also recognize your handwriting. It has 3.15MP Camera, Carl Zeiss Optics and an AF (Auto-Focus) that might interest lots of CamPhone Whores! Available colors in the market are Black, Red and Blue. In stand-by mode, it can last up to 406H and in Talk Time, phone will last up to 8hours and 45minutes. This one is really a great phone but its not yet available here in the Philippines. Currently, it is only available in some European Countries and American countries. So for those hands that could not wait for it, order it now to your relatives overseas!

Lots of co-members from our forum are really curious about this new telco in town. They call it Red Mobile, which obviously targetting the subscriber of Sun Cellular based on its TV ads airing in our home every day. Red mobile is previously called uMobile and I used to own one sim card from them. Right now, they are on the process of distributing their sim cards to all uMobile users by calling them on phone. Personally, I haven't received a phone call from them. Maybe I will just buy a prepaid sim from their retailers in some malls in my area. Their website was just launched last saturday and the old umobile website is already down for about a month already. For some, it has been a very big question why does this new telco requires 3G capable cellphones. The reason behind this is because Cure's license is only for a 3G spectrum. Cure own's Red Mobile and is a licensee bought by PLDT on the month of April this year. One simcard will cost you Php39 which is not too expensive for us Filipinos. They offer Php7.50 per 15mins of 3G internet. Php0.50 for Red Mobile to Red Mobile calls and Php6.50 for Red Mobile to other networks calls. A charge of Php0.50 for Red Mobile to Red Mobile text message and Php1.00 Red Mobile to other network text message will be deducted to your credit load. For more info and details about Red Mobile, just visit their website at http://www.redmobile.com

Recently, I have been struggling of finding a new and better job when I came across this one call center who has this special job pooling at this certain mall near my place. It was not really on the plan of applying for a job from them. Its just that my cousin was asking for some gifts for her, so that late afternoon, I went to the mall and look for that item my cousin have been asking me until I saw the company's booth at the mall and decided to try my luck. I passed the initial exam and initial interview and was asked to go to their office the next day. I went there and continue the application process and voila, I signed my new job offer. What gives me more interest with this company is the account where they assigned me. I was assigned at the Xbox's Technical Team, the hippy and coolest team as what our interviewer have said. They scheduled my training on the next few days so me as an excited newbie, I Googled some important matters about the product that I'll be representing. I saw a lot of websites dealing with Xbox but none of them were very helpful for me, of course except for their official website.

I was actually looking for a website where it treats me like I am a buyer that has no know-hows about the product that I'm looking for. There's this website that really attracts my attention. Its a buyer's guide website wherein you will be guided on what you should know about Xbox. Everything that you need is already there. It gives you the Xbox's specification. The width, the length etc. etc. So I read all about it and it really helped me understand the product more. The website gives you an idea also of other cool gadgets that you might need to experience your Xbox Life more enjoyable and comfortable like the sound system and some Xbox accessories. Personally, I don't really like buying a product which I don't really know what are the specs. I don't wanna waste money for a product that I'm not familiar with. Though I'm not really planning of buying Xbox today (who knows I might need it in the future), still I need to know this because this is the campaign that was assigned to me by our company.

One great feature that I have noticed about this product is that you can play with your friends from all over the world. Its true, since you can connect the Console to internet using its WiFi feature. Its like N-gage in most Nokia N-Series phones. You can communicate with them and plan your strategy with them. It is really an innovative product.

Now I'm so prepared to undergo to the training process of our campaign and I think I have loaded myself with enough knowledge about how the product really operates. I just need some more product handling since I haven't used an Xbox before. My cousins have gaming consoles but and old types of gaming consoles. They are now struggling about it and sometimes, they need to rush to a nearby repair shop for their gadgets to be fixed. Luckily, Xbox has a very good customer service and has a very helpful community for you to raise your queries about this certain product.

Many of us are now addicted to IM (and if you're out-of-this-world type of person, IM is short for Instant Messaging) and there have been lots of IMs plaguing the Internet. Even in Mobile Phones, IMs are also present. There's this Slick, IM+, WirelessIRC, Fring etc. etc. Oh wait, did I mentioned ImiChat? I think not. So right now, the guy in the hotseat is ImiChat. I think its not just the typical IM for mobile phones where you just type and type those texts to send to your buddy on the other side of the world. So what great feature does this ImiChat carry apart from the usual message sending? Well, it has to do with the video chat. No Joke! Its like the usual chat on the PC where you can use your webcam but with ImiChat, you need to use the front camera of your phone. Not too boring eh? Not the usual sending of messages thru text because you can also send a voice message to your buddy. Now you can see what they're doing, where they at and everything. Not only that you can chat thru phone but you can also use it from PC to Phone. I personally tried this wonder application and its really cool. I get to see my friend from NJ using this cool application. If I'm going to rate it from 1-10 and 10 as highest, I would say 7. That's fair enough because this application is still in beta version and it needs some more development. Try it out guys and add me as your buddy. You must know my username.

Nokia N82 vs N85 vs N95 8GB vs N96

Which Camera phone do you think is better? N85 VS N95 8gb VS N96 VS N82. Personally, I am really confused with that Dual Leds of the new Nokia N-Series phones. How does this flash work and how can it really help the camera when taking pictures? Well, while surfing the net, I saw this blog post from The Nokia Blog about the comparison of these 4 mentioned mobile phones. Everything was really clear now. Just see the photos below for comparison.

Here’s the breakdown on what kind of flash each phone has:

* Nokia N95 8GB - LED
* Nokia N96 - Dual LEDs
* Nokia N85 - Dual LEDs
* Nokia N82 - Xenon!

The photos were all taken in automatic mode with all the lights turned off in our hallway. The wall is painted light yellow and the doors are dark brown. The photos were also resized to fit the blog’s width. Can you guess what camera phone was used? I’ll update this post with the answers and links to the larger original size photos on Monday night.

Now do you see the difference? Which one do you think is better? So if you're really into taking pictures or should I say "Cam Whore", you might wanna choose the N82 now.

Nokia have been innovating to make their product more full-packed of features and one feature that I like most in my Nokia Phone which is N82 is its Assisted GPS. Unfortunately, as what I have observed in some forums, most of the people don't really appreciate the beauty of this feature and doesn't even know how to use it. So right now, I am giving you some tips and tricks on how to enable or to activate the GPS of your Nokia Mobile Phone.

Below are the instructions on how to Activate your GPS.

1. GOTO Tools > Connectivity > GPS Data
2. Once you Open GPS Data, you will notice that a popup dialog box will show and say Searching for GPS Satellites. Your GPS Data might connect to GPRS or search a bluetooth device for it to search an external GPS Device. But you don't have to connect to GPRS or a Bluetooth device for you to activate your GPS. So the next step is to Press Options > Position Settings and then uncheck Bluetooth GPS, Assisted GPS and Network Based. Leave the Integrated GPS checked.
3. Once you're done with that, press back and at the Navigation menu, wait for your mobile phone to connect to a GPS Satellite. For you to know the signal strength, press Options and then click Satellite Status. Once everything is full, your GPS Data is now activated and then you can use it now with your Nokia Maps or any 3rd party GPS application.

Hey, Hey, Hey, What do we have here. I have just signed in to my Gmail account and noticed this very cool feature that they've added to their page. Introducing the "Gmail Themes". What does this thing do? Well, it will only let you personalize the look and feel of your Gmail Inbox once you login. Is this thing cool? Of course it is. It has 31 ( and I hope they'll be adding some more ) default themes that you can choose from. I hope soon they will let us set our own pictures to be the background or we they will let us set what colors of fonts we want to use or the tabs etc. etc. As of now, let's just appreciate the feature that Gmail is offering us and praise the Gmail Team for doing a great job for their users!

With these four patches, you can remove all stuck stuff from Active Standby screen, allowing you to view only the regular shortcuts you've set in phone settings.

No more WLAN scan, Search, calendar entries, and to-do notes in Active Standby screen.

The good thing here is that you can choose what to shortcut to remove.

Use this patches with "ROM patcher".

How to use:

-extract the four .rmp files to E:\patches\ in your memory card
-turn "Active Standby" off (unless it's disabled already)
-make sure you have "ROM patcher" by Zorn installed in your phone.Then launch it.
-apply any of the patches (or even all four) you want.
-turn "Active Standby" on.

After that, the feature(s) you've applied the patch for (Search plugin, WLAN scan, Calendar entries, and/or To-do notes) won't show up.

Tested on my Nokia N82 Phone.
