The incident that had happened last Saturday, September 26, 2009, left a mark to us Filipinos how powerful mother nature is. Typhoon Ondoy or shall we say Ketsana as its international name, is one of the most outrageous typhoon who visited Philippines. I can still remember how the Bagyong Milenyo damaged the whole of Metro Manila. Trees were cut and billboards are torn and bent down. Compared to Typhoon Milenyo, Ondoy is different because it brought us tons of water. Flood is like normal in Metro Manila but not the flood that we experienced last Saturday that the water can even cover a 2 storey house. Just this morning I learned that the house of my Aunt from Montalban, Rizal was devastated and ravaged by Ondoy. I was shocked about the news. I felt like sad thinking that my cousins are too young to be traumatized by this incident. I just hope that they can recover soon. Until now, I am unable to contact them since I am still on the process of recovering too from a 39 degree temperature. I've seen lots of pictures and videos from tabloids, local newspapers, TV and the Internet showing how tragic this incident is. It was horrifying and I felt like I am so useless that I wasn't able to help my family. To all the Filipinos, it is the time for us to be united. No politics, no plastics, no dissing, no pretending, no fakes, no bias. Just plain YOU, as a Filipino. Its time to help our brothers and sisters out there.
