The plan offers the popular Smart Unli Plan 349 and an addon Sun Plan 200 for unlimited texting/SMS between the two networks. The plan includes a free dual-SIM phone Nokia C2-03. The plan is being offered by Smart for now and not sure if it’s being offered by Sun’s wireless center.

I don't know if I can upgrade to this type of offer since I am currently having a Smart 599 plan. I'm a bit interested about this plan because some of my colleagues are using Sun cellular. No more reasons for me not to text them anymore. Woot!

Truly there are a lot of people using GPS now on their Smartphone. A few weeks ago, I have talked about using Smartphone's GPS and now, I have got a message from a co-forumer at Symbianize that a new detailed Philippine map for Garmin Mobile XT has just arrived. I can't create screenshots because the Screencap software installed in my Nokia N8 is not properly working even after how many reboot. But I guarantee you guys, this is the latest map for your Garmin Mobile XT. I personally tried and tested it and checked some details and yes, there are a lot of improvements compared to the one I downloaded a couple of months ago. The Controversial Fight of Pacquiao and Marquez

The last fight of Pacquiao and Marquez on November 13, 2011 was very controversial to all the boxing fans all over the world. I am a Filipino so I think you know whose side I am. I watched the replay one by one per round and tried to analyze the fight. For the first few rounds, it was Pacquiao who dominated the fight but on the Rounds 7, 8 and 9; I think Marquez countered Pacquiao but on the last 4 rounds, Pacquiao took over again dominating the whole fight. I’ve seen this picture in Facebook about how Marquez’s step-the-foot-of-Pacquiao trick made him almost won the fight. If you’re going to check the photo very carefully, you can see that Marquez steps on the foot of Pacquiao and throws a power punch on him. It was like holding Pacquiao so he cannot get away from Marquez’s power punch. It was too really obvious when I watched the replay over the Internet. I read an article on Yahoo! about Pacquiao having a foot cramps beginning the fourth round which is the first round we ever saw Marquez doing the step-the-foot-of-Pacquiao trick. Pacquiao is not making excuses, he was a victim of cheating here. Marquez was a very good fighter, he is well known in counter punching but on this fight, he cheated on Pacquiao where Pacquiao almost lost the fight. Here's another scam alert that my friend online discovered. Actually, he discovered it because he was the victim of the scam. My friend received his HTC Mytouch 4G as a "pasalubong" from his parents who just arrived from abroad. Since the phone was locked to T-mobile, he want it unlocked so he can use Philippine networks on it. He was online and found out www.htcsimunlock.com and was very happy about their cheap offer in unlocking the phone. At first, you will actually think that they are legit because of the design of their website. They website's layout was professionally designed. They even have testimonials that can help their visitors decide to buy their product. My friend, who's very desperate to use his brand new phone decided to grab the offer of HTCSimUnlock. Grabbed his credit card and paid them. He was so at ease using his credit card because he thought that this website is legit and yes, they have 100% money back guarantee. After paying for the product, he waited because it says there on their website that it has instant delivery. He waited for minutes, minutes became hours, hours became day and day became 3 days until he realized that he was scammed. He was scammed by HTCSimUnlock. Tried to contact them but none of them tried to get hold of my friend. When he tried to research about the company, he found out that he's not alone in this whole wide world. There's a lot of them who have been scammed by HTCSimUnlock. What's worse is that my friend's credit card was believed to be hacked by the people behind HTCSimUnlock. I advised my friend to contact Better Business Bureau and report the incident to them. Told my friend that next time he'll be purchasing something online, he should research about the website first and check if it's a scam or its legit.

How To Get Facebook Timeline.

Facebook just announced a new layout on the profile page called "Timeline". As of this date, only Developers can be able to use Timeline on their profile pages. Right now, I am creating this post to give you tricks on how to activate your Facebook Timeline without waiting for the invite.

Step 1. Type on "developer" at the Search Box of your Facebook and hit the very first result. It has 1.5M active users.

Step 2. Click "Allow" on the pop up screen of the Developer App.

Step 3. You'll now be taken to the Developer's App or if not, try to check on the left side of your screen then click on it.

Step 4. Create a "New App" and give it a namespace. Remember, namespace should not contain capital letters, symbols and spaces. You don't really have to worry about the name because nobody will be viewing it.

Step 5. Click on the "Open Graph" at the left panel of the screen.

Step 6. You will now have to define an action for your app. Put an action word on the first box and the subject on the second box. Example: First Box = eat; Second Box = sandwich. After doing this, click "Get Started".

Step 7. On the next page, just keep on clicking Save Changes and Next until you reach "Save and Finish".

Step 8. After 2-3 minutes, go back to your Facebook's profile page and you should see an invite at the top of the page asking you to use "Timeline". Click on "Get it now" to start using Timeline.

Once you've done this 8 simple steps, you should now be viewing your Facebook profile page with Timeline Layout just like the picture at the top. Enjoy and don't forget to share this tutorial to your friends!

This is a great move from the Adsense team to put the +1 button on the display ads so readers and visitors of our blog can be able to recommend useful and helpful ads to other users. I was just thinking if we can't lose clicks on our Adsense display ads since people will only be clicking the +1 button instead of the ad itself. What do you think? Smartphone's GPS, To Use or Not To Use?

Most Smartphones coming out of the market right now comes with a built-in GPS or the Assisted GPS (A-GPS). But only a few are using their GPS enabled phone for directions and recommendations. That's my personal observation on people I know who has a GPS enabled phone. They don't even know what GPS is or doesn't have any idea how to use it. My first device that has a built-in GPS is my Nokia N82. My purpose of buying the N82 back in 2008 was because of its high-end camera during those days and of course, the GPS.

In America, only 55% of Smartphone owners use their GPS to get directions and recommendations. Probably here in the Philippines, lower than 55% are using their Smartphone for GPS purposes. With me, I always travel and I use GPS when I'm not familiar to a certain place. Its very helpful when you have a handy GPS device on your pocket. In just a click of a button, you're good to go and you won't get lost in a middle of nowhere!

Here's a tip to those who want to take advantage of their GPS enabled phone, you install applications that doesn't connect to the Internet to download a map. Instead, download a map on your computer and transfer it to your mobile phone. That's what I did when I installed Garmin Mobile XT on my N82 and my Samsung B7300 Omnialite. I used Navphone before for my Nokia N82 but the problem is you only have limits to Manila, Cebu and Davao maps. The only disadvantage that I experienced when using the built-in GPS of my mobile phone is it consumes a lot of battery energy. So you better bring with you a charger or a back-up battery when travelling.

World’s biggest crocodile has been caught by villagers of Bunawan, Agusan Del Sur, Philippines. This salt water crocodile is believed to be 21ft long and weighing 2,369lb (1,075kg) and is suspected to be the cause of attacking 2 villagers in the area. The biggest crocodile currently holding a world record is at 18ft male currently residing at Australian Nature Park. Herpetologist, Bryann Barr, said "I'd be surprised if it was truly six meters,” Alligator biologist, Allan Woodward, also said “There’s never been a crocodile longer than approximately 18feet (5.5 meters)”.

There are times that I really want to create a sensible post but I am not really certain what topic would I write. I have lots of topics in mind but I don't know where to start. I suppose I need an inspiration and a bit of reflection. I wonder why can't I create such sensible post where in fact my mind is loaded with topics. I envy those bloggers who could create posts almost everyday. I haven't updated my blog for more than 2 or 3 weeks now and that's because of me being empty. I don't know if it is because of a very stressful day that I have no time to think of what to post first and where to start or maybe I'm just very busy of other stuff and at work. My adsense clicks is not that good anymore and my traffic lowered. My blog's PR went down to 2 from 3 and that's difficult to cope up for me. Whew. This is hard, please, help me. I'm even too weak right now to express and to type this. Make me inspired. Whew.

Anonymous' Announces to Shutdown Facebook on November 5

Hacker group who took credit in hacking Syria’s defense site last Monday is targeting Facebook as their next victim. Anonymous, politically motivated hackers are targeting Facebook because they claim that Facebook is using its registered member’s personal information by selling it to Government agencies so they can spy on them or should I say “US”. The date of the operation is on November 5, Guy Fawke’s Day in Britain. If you watched “V for Vendetta”, on the first part of the movie, the scene was all about Guy Fawke who placed explosives under the British House of Lords on 1605. Common type of operation of “Anonymous” is by using Distributed Denial-Of-Service attack or commonly known as DDoS Attack. What’s gonna happen with this one is that the hacker will send you loads of packets until your internet connection will slow down or worse, you’ll lose connection to the Internet. This happened to me before when I had a fight with this guy from IRC who happen to be a hacker. He attacked me by using DDoS and there I lost my Internet connection. Good thing I was at the Internet café that time, my personal Internet connection was not touched. Last time I logged in to my account at Twitter was last week. I am not really fond of twitting twits to my Twitter friends but I always value my account. I can contact my cousins and friends thru twitter at times especially when they are not logged in to their Facebook account. This morning, when I logged in to Twitter, I noticed that the spams I get from last week were still there. I first noticed this spam when some of my friends at Facebook were complaining about it. By the way, my Twitter and Facebook were linked to each other. I checked on it and it was there, I checked the apps and websites that have an access to my Twitter and none of them were suspicious. I don’t really know what’s happening now, I tried to check on the Help page of Twitter but have not gotten any good result. Now, I’m frustrated about it because it’s spamming my account and I’ll have to unlink my Facebook and Twitter so that my Facebook won’t get affected. I still need some help about it. I hope this one will be fixed soon!

This afternoon, I had a chit-chat with my classmate about how’s life going on. We were talking about personal experiences and stuff and one topic that brought into us is about the places I’ve been through. I told her that I was raised in Davao City and transferred to Manila to help my parents on their small business. I enjoyed living in Manila because everything there is a challenge. When my parent’s small business went bankrupt, I decided to work at an advertising firm. It’s more of a nocturnal shift so I’ll have to sleep during daytime and will have to wake up at night. Geez! That’s an abnormal life. I am on that way of life for more than 2 years until I got tired with it. So I decided to resign from my post and work somewhere else. Now, I’m here at Naval, Biliran, at my Father’s province and currently doing something that I really like (something I can’t disclose online). I found it very easy to adjust here compared to Manila. People here are very hospitable and very friendly.

There are times that I miss the MRT, the busy traffic, the people walking waiting for a jeepney ride at Aurora Boulevard and of course the food there. I can’t find Yellow Cab here or Krisypy Kreme, not even Max’s or Wendy’s or Burger King. I’ll have to travel to Cebu just to ease this salivating mouth. Since our class was given a 6 day vacation after 6 months of a much regimented schedule, I decided to go back to our place in Naval and enjoy my 6 days there. I couldn’t relax yet because I’ll have to finish the registration of my motorcycle and will have to renew my driver’s license. That’s a lot of stuff to do. In normal days, I always wake up late so I went to LTO office after lunch and was told by the security guard to have my drug test and medical certificate processed first. So I went to the drug testing center first and stayed there for two and a half hour just because my little Jr can’t produce juice. After giving the tester my finish product, I went out and felt relief because it was too shameful for me staying there for more than 2 hours doing nothing. It was almost 5pm when I got the result of the drug test so I decided to go to this sidewalk vendor who sells noodles in a cup. It’s a homemade noodle with real beef on it. My cousin introduced me to them last year. Just this afternoon, I ordered a cup of noodle from Mamang Noodle and gave me my order after he mixed the ingredients. I was happily eating and standing along the street. Tasted the beef and other ingredients while it’s hot. While I was enjoying the noodle and its soup, I noticed that something just dropped into my bowl. It’s a slimy white color substance that came from heaven. When I checked on where does that substance came from, I saw a bird flew from the top of my exact position! Mamang Noodle saw it and laugh. No doubt, it was the bird’s SHIT that dropped into my noodle. Too bad I left a few slices of beef because I was saving the best for last.

Shifting from Symbian to Windows Mobile for me is a bit hard. Last February, I bought a new phone, the Samsung B7300 Omnialite and was happy about it during the first few days. It was my first time owning a Windows Mobile phone and I’m on the process of familiarizing it. What I like about the phone is that it has similar features with my old N82 (Rest in Peace) but the problem is I don’t have lots of choices when it comes to applications. Compared to Symbian mobile phones, you can easily find an application that suits your needs. Well, important features for me are GPS applications, Wifi applications, Dictionaries, Photo enhancers, SMS managers and Music players. I got Garmin Mobile XT installed in my Samsung B7300 Omnialite and Dictionaries too and that made me feel satisfied about it. The only problem that I have with my Samsung Omnialite is that I can’t find a very nice application for my SMS’s and a Music Player too. I have choices online like the S2P (Slide2Play), an iPhone like music player but the problem is when you use it to play music for a few minutes, the sound of the phone will disappear and it will be busted. I can’t get to play sound anymore on my phone and that sucks. Good thing it restored its vocal chords after a few restarts. Also, the phone’s headset input is a mini-USB compared to my old N82 that has a standard 3.5mm jack. With the 3.5mm jack, you can use high end headsets and also use your phone as a home theater. So now, I’m planning of selling this new phone and will shift back to Nokia Symbian phone probably an N8. That’s gonna take time but I will surely buy that phone a few months from now.

Just Saved A Doctor's Life

Saving someone else's life is very fulfilling. I felt like I was a very big hero this afternoon when I saved a Doctor's life. It all started when the family of Bernardes' went to Higatangan Island to unwind. Higatangan Island is boasting fine white sand and of course, their tourist spot, the Shifting Sandbar. First we went at the back part of the island where you can see the rock formation. We spent hours and hours of swimming there and then suddenly, my Uncle decided that we check the Shifting Sandbar if it’s already visible. So we packed things up and went to that side of the Island but to no avail, Shifting Sandbar is still hiding. It wasn't only my family who are there enjoying the sea water under the heat of the sun. There are different groups from Naval and a group of tourists from Cebu.

I and my cousin went to the middle of the Sandbar. It’s as if you are walking in the middle of the sea. That's the beauty of the Shifting Sandbar but the cos is that the force of the current is very heavy that it will pull you in the middle of the sea where you can't be able to tiptoe on the sand. Locals even said that there are whirlpools on that side sometimes. Then there's this man who was trapped on the water that he cannot swim back to the side. The water is pulling him off. We were all scared but that didn't stop me from doing something just to save him. I pulled the life jacket my niece is using and threw it over to the man. Swam towards him and pulled him over to the side. I really had a hard time pulling him back because he's too heavy and the water is pulling us. Good thing my cousin was there and threw a rope on us. After a few minutes, people were rescuing the man and I felt relieved watching him standing like nothing bad really happened to him. It really made us feel like a hero saving the man's life. My cousin, our friend and I are the hero of the day. We talked to the man and later he said that he was a Doctor from Cebu and their colleague who brought them to the Island was our family friend.

Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone goes solo and left Bone Thugs N Harmony

After 20 years of being a full pledged member of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone left the group I suppose for good. Krayzie and Wish is now busy with both of their solo careers and also their own label “The Life Entertainment”. Krayzie Bone announced this shocking news last April 14, 2011 citing “uncontrollable circumstances”. Flesh-n-Bone just said “F*** Krayzie Bone!” on his statement at a radio station. It wasn’t really a good story to me since I am a very big fan of Bone Thugs N Harmony. Just last year the group released their album “Uni5: The World’s Enemy” and then came 2011 with this very very bad news. The 5 members were just reunited when Flesh was released from jail.

I wonder why Krayzie would have to leave the group when he can still be able to focus on his solo career just like the old days. I am still hoping that the good ol’ days of Bone Thugs will be coming back some time soon. For me, Bone Thugs N Harmony is not Bone Thugs N Harmony if members are not complete just like those days when Bizzy left the group.

Dolphin Caught at the Redstone Ville, Almeria, Biliran

I was having a siesta at a kubo at the Redstone Ville just a few hours ago when I heard people screaming "Dolphin! Dolphin!". It caught my attention and got up to check if its true. They didn't failed me because it was a real dolphin in front of my Uncle's resort. I can't really believe that this wonderful creature is inhabiting near Biliran. I was talking to people and some said that it has been reported earlier at a local radio station, Radyo Natin, that there's gonna be a wounded dolphin probably at her young age resting at the shoreline of Biliran. I would really want to help the dolphin but I don't really know what to do. The locals were trying to send her back at the deeper side of the water but she just keep on coming back. I'm afraid that the people would kill her and make her a pulutan so I kept taking pictures of it to document everything. What I heard is that not so long ago, there was a pawikan caught somewhere in Almeria too but the people abused their power over the animal and made it their pulutan. I hope DENR will have an information drive about this kind of situation so that the people will know what to do the next time this will happen again. We were trying to feed her but she's refusing. I know there's something bad happened to her I just don't know what is it and why did it happened to her. I hope she won't suffer a cruel treatment from other people.

How to Install Garmin Mobile XT on your Nokia Symbian Phone

Here’s how you can install Garmin Mobile XT to your Nokia Phone. This installation process is for Symbian OS S60v5, Symbian^3, Anna and Belle. I tried this installation in my Nokia N8 so no worries at all. Follow this installation process to enjoy Garmin Mobile XT!

1. Download all the necessary files.

5. 4. After installation, transfer gmapsupp.img to your Garmin folder (Storage Card\Garmin\).

6. 5. Run Garmin Mobile XT application on your phone then choose “connect to a Bluetooth device” and cancel it afterwards. Click on the Tool Icon then Settings then go to About icon and open it. Look for your CARD ID.

7. 6. On your PC, run Garmin Keygen then type your CARD ID and press Generate.

8. 7. Copy your generated serial and type it on your notepad then save it as “sw.unl”.

9. 8. Transfer the “sw.unl” file on your Garmin folder again.

10 9. Run Garmin Mobile XT on phone again then click on Tool then settings then System. Click on Remote GPS and set it to “use attached/Built-in GPS. This should activate your copy of Garmin Mobile XT. To verify, return to About page and you will notice that the Card ID is gone and it is being replaced by ESN.

1 10. Just in case you will need the MAP Unlock code, run the Garmin Keygen again and click “Select Map Product” and choose “Custom Mapset”. Enter “632” on the FID (mapID) and click generate.

11 11. Copy your generated Map Unlock Code and paste it on your notepad then save it as “gmapsupp.unl” and transfer it to your Garmin folder on your mobile phone.

Note: Just to make sure that your GPS won’t connect to your Local Network connection, go to Settings then Application Settings then Positioning then Positioning Methods then Uncheck Network Based, Wi-Fi/Network and Bluetooth GPS.

Your Garmin Mobile XT should be up and running by now. To check, go outside and try it. The lock up time would take about 15minutes for the first time. The signal bar should turn Green from Red when its locked up to a GPS Signal.

Me, I’ll be leaving the World Wide Web for the meantime for a very good reason. I’m not gonna tell why because I wanna keep it secret. I know I never made a very big impact in the blogosphere or even in Facebook but still, I’d like to say goodbye to those people who I know and who I don’t know. There are people that are very special to me like my parents and my girlfriend who I think will have to sacrifice for the meantime that is if they would still miss me. I’m not sick or something, it’s just that I’ll be going to a certain place where Internet not even a computer is accessible. So there won’t be any updates in this blog and new photos in my photoblog because I won’t be around for 2 maybe 3 maybe 6 months. Saying goodbye for me is a bit difficult because I don’t really know what to tell to the other party. This will be the last post of the year and maybe the next update will be after 6 months. I’m sure my family will be proud of me because of my decision. They’d be happy that they have a son like me, a smart one! LOL. While browsing online, I discovered this new line of product from Smart Communications, the SmartBro Pocket WiFi. I actually heard about these certain product before from Globe MyFi and now, Smart is competing with it. Smart Pocket WiFi promises 2Mbps but I wonder if you could still experience the same speed when you connect 5 devices (maximum number of devices you can connect) into it. Good thing about it is that it’s a modem and router in one not to mention that its wireless. It should pick up HSDPA or WCDMA signal because if not, then you’re broke. I haven’t tried this gadget yet but will make a review soon about it when I’ll get one of this Smart Pocket WiFi! This device will only cost you 495Php per month for 50hours.

How to format Memory Card or SD Card

Sometimes, I get this question from someone who doesn’t have any experiences with regard to this matter. I have lots of friends who exeperienced this problem and got no other choice but to just dispose their memory card. Right now, I’m gonna teach you a new trick on how to reformat your Memory Card (MMC) or SD Card if the computer and your phone won’t let you do it.

There’s no computer application or mobile phone application needed to the deed. What you just need is a digital camera that uses Memory Card (MMC) or SD Card. I learned this trick when I was still using an MMC for my phone and since MMC capable devices accepts SD Card, you can do the same on SD Card. What you just have to do is to format the card on your camera. I do not know why but it is by 90% sure working on my end. So if you have MMCs or SDs that you think is not working anymore because you could not format it, try this trick first because this might be the answer to your questions. If you think its not working, leave me a message or comment to this post so that I can assist you with regard to this matter.

Bone Thugs N Harmony Albums Gone

I know this sounds so cheap but I’ll have to rant about it because I could not take this anymore. If you’ve browsed my blog, you’ll notice that I have posts about Bone Thugs N Harmony and yes, you guessed it right, I am a big fan of Bone. I have lots of mp3s and of course, original CDs bought fresh from stores. I haven’t bought the latest, Uni5: The World’s Enemy, because I haven’t found it yet in local stores here in Tacloban.

About 3 weeks ago, I went back to our house at Naval to check some of my stuff when I discovered something really bad. For the record, I have 6 CDs of Bone Thugs N Harmony (East 1999, Art of War (double CD), Thug World Order, Thug Stories and Strength and Loyalty). I saw my album collections of Bone empty. I check everywhere but the CDs are nowhere to be found. What’s left is the inlay of the album. Those are the only collections that I can be proud of and now, all of them CDs are gone. I do not know where to find those because I don’t have any idea who stole it. I have a suspect, anyway but the problem is that that suspect is not with us anymore. So I just hope that that person will take good care of those CDs like I did when it was still with me. Now, I’ll have to start from scratch and will have to find those CDs online because you won’t find Bone albums in local stores anymore.

For how many months, my account in Nuffnang was a Glitterati. It's an exclusive membership in Nuffnang where you get loads of features compared to a non-exclusive member. I tried logging to Innit, a Glitterati-only section in Nuffnang, but I wasn't able to log in because it says I am no longer a Glitterati member. Unknown Life Form in North Carolina Sewer Finally Revealed!

If you happen to see this video before, you might wonder what kind of creature that is in the video. In my own case, when I first watched this video a few months ago, I never felt well. It’s like I’m gonna puke whenever I eat something slimy. I posted this video in my Facebook profile and a friend told me that it’s not something extraordinary like an alien trying to colonize the Earth. I remember the Zerg from Starcraft. Lol

Many believed that this creature from a sewer in North Carolina is an alien. Well, it doesn’t look normal to me and I suppose to most of us too. A friend has just told me that it’s no alien, it’s a worm usually found in shallow area of a lake or river and sometimes in sewer. It is called Tubifex. So, I’m telling you all to not to worry about an alien invasion, because this thing is no alien, its just tubifex found in a sewer in North Carolina. All this time I have been striving hard to not play an online game. During the Ragnarok era, I was successful in resisting the urge to play it. I never liked the characters in the first place. Then, a Davaoeño friend suggested Gunbound to me and that’s the time that I started playing online games. Until a new version of Gunbound came out and I didn’t like it so I quit playing Gunbound. Years passed and I became busy from work and other extracurricular activities.

The other day, I saw my cousin playing this familiar game on the computer. I thought that it was just an ordinary Counter Strike Game recently released but when I checked on it, everything is different. I asked the name of the game and it’s called Cross Fire Philippines. Since I like Counter Strike so much, I decided to check out the game and try it out myself. I then registered to their website and started playing. The first time I played it, I spent 3 hours online and felt like I still need some more! What’s so good about it is that you can play with people from all over the country. Well that’s the thought of playing an online game but comparing it to Counter Strike where you can only play with people over the LAN, this one is different. I don’t know if I’d get addicted to this game or not but one thing is for sure, I like it more than I like Counter Strike. How about you? What online games do you play?

The other day, a friend of mine who is a regular viewer of my blog suggested trying changing my blog template. I understand him and then thought that changing my blog template would be very hassle for me since I’ll have to tweak some of the codes. Tweaking will cover from the images to the links to my adsense ads. The last time I changed my blog template, I spent about 4 hours in front of the computer just to finalize everything.

This morning, I don’t know what got into me when I suddenly decided to change my blog template. So I started browsing BTemplates and checked if they have elegant templates ready for use. What I normally do when I want to change my blog template is to check on the code first and see if it isn’t that hard to tweak. I found this template called Jocasta and fell in love with it the first time. I checked on the codes and it seems too easy for me to modify it. Downloaded the template and then made a backup of my previous template just in case I’m gonna mess up everything. What I like most in this template is that it has an Apple like featured posts and also the avatar of the author.

The month of October this year has a lot of astronomical happenings like meteor shower. I have seen a meteor shower once and I liked it so much but that happened when I was still a kid. Right now, when I tried to recall that night, I thought that everything was just an illusion (something that kids can only see like their imaginary friends). Well, anyway, this afternoon while reading the local newspaper, I read about this astronomical event that’s gonna happen this month of October. First, on October 17-25, 2010, there will be meteor showers depending on the weather condition and on October 20-28, there’s a comet that will travel all the way to the Sun. Well, right now, what we can do is to wait for the confirmation from Kuya Kim if these astronomical events will happen. I hope it’s true! Wiwo! I’ll be waiting for this one and try to take pictures of them meteors falling from the sky. :D

Then on Saturday, the folks at Nokia Sweden decided to go the other way, erecting what must count as one of the world’s biggest cinema screens. Residents of the city district of Rosengård were treated to a movie night they will never forget, powered by a Nokia N8 through it’s HDMI port in stunning high-definition.

Creating the world’s biggest cinema screen is no easy task, as it takes a lot of planning, teams of people and specialised equipment to make sure it all comes together. The 1,428 square metre (that’s 51 metres x 28 metres) cinema screen is so large that it had to be assembled, and watched, outside. The screen was hoisted up in front of a tower block, and held in place by two giant cranes while four XLM HD30 projectors, each weighing 140 kilos, projected the Prince of Persia movie onto it. Onlookers were amazed and delighted to witness this world record happening in their own district.

For over a decade, I have never done the laundry of my own clothes. What I usually do is go to a laundry shop and let them do the deed or if my Nanay is available, I’d let her do it for me. Doing my own laundry is not a very good idea because it triggers my hard-of-breathing illness so I’d better be safe before I killed myself. But sometimes, I take considerations just like this morning. The labandera that my Aunt hired didn’t come over so I have no choice but to do the laundry myself. Good thing it has been made easy for me because of the tips my Aunt gave me. Also, I have proven myself that Ariel Detergent Powder really works in white tees. I love white tees and I was really concerned that I can’t remove the stains on it but goo thing that detergent powder removed it during the babad process. I ended up very proud and happy after doing my own laundry but I hope I won’t suffer that hard-of-breathing illness later tonight.

1. A sense of humor
"Nobody wants to date 'Debbie Downer' and men enjoy joking with their women," says Zachary Davis, author of Roses and Brass Knuckles: A Man's Pocket Guide To Winning The Dating and Marriage Game. Clearly, this is something that men and women can agree on. You don't want to spend your time with someone who is seriously serious so be sure to lighten the mood when you can. Men like it when a women has the confidence to be funny. "Believe me, we want you to make us laugh too," says Davis.

2. Flexibility
No, we're not talking about physical flexibility (though, no doubt, plenty of men have that on their list). We're talking about the ability to be adventurous and explore life as it happens. Julie Spira is a best-selling author, radio host, columnist and dating/relationship expert. She believes that "Men love it when a woman doesn't mind if the plans get changed last minute. Spontaneity excites a man." Last minute plans from a movie night to a pizza date? Don't panic. Go with the flow and impress him with your carefree spirit.

3. Honesty
No long-term relationship can survive without honesty and men want to trust their girlfriends. "Women don't like to admit it, but it is a lot easier for you to deceive us than it is for us to deceive you," says Davis. This can apply to both his personal and professional life, but men want a woman who is in his corner no matter what. "When a woman admires a man for his work achievements and becomes his cheerleader, she's on the top of his list." Take an interest in his work, make an effort to understand his struggles and then provide encouragement.

6. Reliability
It's doubtful that an unreliable woman (or man) will change her (or his) stripes once a relationship is in full swing, so men want to see this trait in a woman before things get serious. "Just like women want a man they can count on, we want the same in return," says Davis. "It is easy to love when you can count on someone!" Some ways to show that you're reliable include being on time, following through on commitments and being a good friend.

7. Motivation
Motivation is usually high on the list of characteristics that women look for in a man, but it goes both ways. "How can we move forward in a relationship, when you don't want to move forward in your life?" asks Davis. Openly sharing your professional and personal aspirations will show him that you have big plans in life (that may or may not include him).

8. A social life
Even men who enjoy being in a relationship need their space, and they need to know that their girlfriend can have fun without him if necessary. "Nothing is worse than when you starting dating a woman and she becomes completely attached, and the two of you are together 24/7," says Davis. "Then we start to think, what was she doing before we met? Time apart makes the heart grow fonder, even in the beginning." Don't even think about turning your back on your girlfriends just because Mr. Right comes along. Chances are, in the short term, he won't be pleased and in the long-term, you won't be happy.

9. Sexy + Smart
We all know the first characteristic tops a man's list, but combine sexy with smart and you have "girlfriend material" written all over. Customize the looks of your Globe Tattoo Dashboard

Step 1:
Make sure your Globe Broadband Application is not running.If it is then close the application.

Step 2: (Making the logo.png)
Open your favorite photo editor(ex. Photoshop).
Create a new canvass with a dimension of 360 px by 40 px.
Just draw your artwork there. You can also copy and paste an image and then edit it to fit the canvassSave your drawing as logo.png(don't change the filename and extension) <--this will be the image that will appear
across the toolbar of the dashboard.
After saving your first image file.Copy and paste that image file in the "C:\Program Files\Globe Broadband" folder
Click YES if you are asked to replace the existing image file.
That's it for the first image.

Step 3: (Making the OperatorBand.jpg)
Again using your favorite photo editor create a new canvass with a dimension of 512px X 250px.
Draw your artwork there.
Save your drawing as operatorband.jpg(again DON'T CHANGE the filename and extension for the sake of this tutorial)
Now copy the 2nd image file you have just created and paste it inside the "C:\Program Files\Globe Broadband\plugins\DialupUIPlugin" folder
Click yes if you are asked to replace the existing image file.(But I recommend you rename the existing just in case you want to restore the original look of your Globe Tattoo Dashboard .)

Note: You can also change the icons that are displayed on the dashboard but I will not cover that in this tutorial.

Video games has been the favorite past time of most teenagers now. I can still remember the old Family Computer where you can play Super Mario, Contra, Pacman and Battle City. Video games evolved in the past few years. Personally, I like to play Playstation2 and Xbox 360 though I don’t really own one of them. I would like to try Nintendo Wii soon together with my girlfriend. I only get to play Playstation2 when I’m with my cousin in Las Piñas and Xbox 360 at the office. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to play those gaming consoles anymore because of my busy schedule not to mention the time to time travel to different places.

Last week, I and my cousins had a drinking session at the Redstone Ville in Naval, Biliran and we were all talking about the latest games and gaming console accessories. They were all startled when they heard me talking about different stuff about Xbox 360. Maybe because they don’t really know that I get to play Xbox 360s at the office before. But one thing got me into trouble; one of my cousins asked me for the price of the guitar for Guitar Hero game. I wasn’t really sure what to answer because honestly, I don’t really know what the price for that guitar is. The night ended up with no answer to the question. My cousin is eager to buy that guitar but doesn’t know how much will he spend.

The next day, I went online to check the answer of that question and was lucky enough to find the answers online. Everything is settled now, thanks to ShopWiki. They really gave me enough information about that guitar my cousin would love to buy. I’ll recommend this to my cousin because at ShopWiki, he will find different stores that has different deals and promotional offers to choose from.

Four fishes for dinner

Poverty is one of the great problems our country needs to overcome. In Biliran province alone, major population is in the poverty level. I have an Aunt who's a nutritionist and in Region 7 and said that Biliran Province is at the top 5 that has the most number of malnourished children.

When I had a week vacation in Naval, I always eat my meal at the Red Stone Ville. It’s a small resort owned by A & S Corporation. It’s almost Sunset when I saw some kids fishing on the stony part of the sea shore. I approach them and asked if how was the catch. They said that they were already there since 10AM and hasn’t caught any promising fish for their meal. They only got few small fishes probably not enough for most of us but enough to complete their meal for the day. While talking to them, I never thought that they would be very enthusiastic in sharing their stories to me. One kid told me that this day is not a very lucky day for them but still they will strive for more catch.

Life is really hard for them and but still they are eager and willing to survive. At a young age, they already started to work for their food. One good thing is that they don’t lose hope and they have the courage to stand in their own feet.

I was near your store staring at you and got struck by your beautiful eyes and smile. The fact that I'm scared of asking for your personal number in person, I made a plan. When you left, it was your little bro who's attending customers at the store. I bought a candy thinking that your little brother would call you but to no avail, he obliged and gave me the candy. I thought I could get your attention then I go next to plan B, buy a load for my phone. I know your bro is too young to handle this kind of stuff so I thought this is a better idea and it did work. My Bedroom Plan

I and my girlfriend are now planning the design of the house that we will build together. The plan is I'll be the one who's assigned for the structure and she'll be assigned for the displays and the interior design of the house. I know it is too early for us to plan the house design but I think it’d be better to do have a long term plan than having a short term plan of the house.

This morning, I was reading my girlfriend’s scrap book and there she wrote her dream house. She wants a two storey house. All the rooms are upstairs and the master’s bedroom should have a comfort room inside. I was actually impressed by her because she doesn’t want to have a very fancy house, she just want it simple. I liked it simple too. If that’s what my girlfriend want, then that’s the house that I’ll be constructing. The very important part of the house for me is the master’s bedroom, our bedroom. We haven’t talked about the bedroom yet but I already have a plan about it. The bedroom should have a comfort room of itself as what my girlfriend want it to be. There should be a very big mirror and a big cabinet for our clothes and personal stuff. With regard to the flooring, I want a wooden floor inside our room or yeah, all of the rooms in the house. Aside from that, I want a rug too beneath the bed. A cheap rug would do and I know a website that offers cheap area rugs, SuperiorRugs.com. I’d like to put a rug too in the living room. A fine soft rug that is made from pure wool is the ideal rug for the house that I and my girlfriend are planning to build.
